Extra Chapter 5: Ansem’s unpleasant welcome.
*Gummi Cruiser: Main room.*
James: “I suppose you guys want to know about what happens next, right?”
*Everyone but Riku gave a grunt for yes.*
Riku: “I’ll tell them.*
*Castle Oblivion: Floor 11*
Riku (Narrator): “I just used the card to go to end up in Hollow Bastion. We traveled around the
place, reliving my memories, until we battled Maleficent. However, James refused to battle
together with me, because he was hiding something.”
Pashmina (Narrator): “His power?”
Riku (Narrator): “Yes. We just exited Hollow Bastion.*
Riku: “So why didn’t you help me battle Maleficent’s illusion?”
James: “I...don’t think you’re ready for what I had to use as a weapon.”
Riku: “It can’t be that bad.”
???: “Why do you shun the darkness?”
James: “Uh-oh. Big strange voice again.”
Riku: “Hmph. Come on, I know you heard me- every word I said to Maleficent.”
???: “Darkness is your weapon. It is time you learn you must accept it.”
Riku: “What do you mean?”
James: “Darkness? As a weapon? Strange bird.”
???: “Stop resisting. Accept the Darkness. You have no choice...”
*A portal of darkness appeared. A man with a Heartless symbol on his chest appeared. Riku will
say his name.*
???: “...if you are to serve me again!”
James: “Whoa. Who’s this nutcase?”
Riku: “I thought it was you...Ansem.”
James: “...Ansem?! That’s not him!”
Riku: “Huh?”
James: “The Ansem I knew was blond and had a beard.” *Spoiler alert!*
Ansem: “Quit you babbling, boy!”
James: “Fine, be that way...faker.”
Ansem: “Anyway, I’m amused that you don’t seem surprised.”
Riku: “All you have been talking about is the darkness. I can only assume you wanna pull me
back in...so you can play puppet master.”
James: “Huh!? What are you talking about!?”
Riku: “Ansem pulled me into the darkness. It’s because of that... I had to fight my best friend
while under his control. But thanks to my best friend, I managed to get out of his control.”
James: “Wow. It’s good to have friends!”
Ansem: “Clever boy. I know you’d be the one to most appropriately serve me. And now,
surrender to me, again...”
Riku: “You’re crazy! Not a chance! *Summons Soul Eater.*
James: “Riku!!”
*Riku attempts to attack Ansem, but he blocked it with a dark power. He uses that power to send
Riku flying backward!”
Ansem: “Did you really think you could do me harm?”
James: “No, but I would!”
Ansem: “What!?”
*James summons his Keyblade in front of Riku, and did the same thing Riku did, but it ended the
same way. James’s Keyblade landed in front of Riku.*
James: “Man, he’s tough!”
Ansem: “Hmph. A weakling like you couldn’t even defeat Sora- and you had darkness by your
side.”
James: “Uh...Him or me?” (And is he talking about the same Sora I’m looking for?)
Ansem: “I was referring to Riku.”
James: “Oh.”
Riku: “Excuse me...for being weak...” *!* “The Keyblade!?”
James: “Whoops. Forgot to grab it.”
Riku: “Is...that yours?”
James: “Yes sir!”
*James grabs his Keyblade and slides into position.*
Ansem: “You are weak. You need darkness. Surrender. Bow to darkness. Bow to me.”
James/Riku: “That’s not gonna happen!”
Ansem: “Only the darkness can offer to you all of the strength that you will need.”
???: “You’re wrong!”
Riku: *!*
James: “Who was that!?”
*A Light floated down in front of Riku. It floats around Riku.*
James: “Cool! The castle supplies lights!”
Riku: “That voice...! Your Majesty!?”
Mickey: “That’s right! Remember Riku, you’re not alone. This boy will prove to be a valuable
resource of help to you.”
James: “Who me?”
*The Light went into Riku.*
Mickey: “Listen close. The light’ll never give up on you. You’ll always find it, even in the
deepest darkness!”
Riku: “I got it.”
James: “Are you fighting?”
Riku: *Gets up* “I won’t lose to darkness. Not today.”
James: “That’s the spirit!”
Riku: “You think that feeble little light can save you from the darkness I command?”
*Vs. Ansem!*
*James delivered a swift combo from his Keyblade on to Ansem. Ansem guards James’s against
his combo Finisher: Warpinator. By yelling “Come Guardian!” Riku also used a combo of his
own. Ansem then used a lightning attack. The two dodge it.*
Riku: “Got me!”
*Riku then used Barrage: Attacks and goes into the air to throw Soul Eater.*
James: “I’ll go next!”
*James then used Lethal Flame to attack Ansem. He successfully deals the blow to end the
battle.*
*Both James and Riku are in position to get ready to continue battling.*
Riku: “What, That all you got?”
James: “I could do this all day!”
Ansem: “It seems to me that you are intent on resisting the darkness. And your friend is intended
to help out. All right. Then see it for yourself.”
*Ansem presents a card.*
Riku: *?*
James: “A card?”
Ansem: “This is a card crafted from your memory. Advance through the world it creates, and
soon, you will understand... Chasing after light is not the way. It will not give you distance from
the darkness. There is no running from the darkness.”
Riku: “Don’t worry, I’m not running. Give it.”
James: “Rude aren’t you?”
Riku: “We’ll enter the world and in the end, if I haven’t given in to the darkness...Then I win.”
*Ansem tosses the card to Riku. He catches it.*
Ansem: “I have one more gift for you.”
*Ansem then curls and clutches his hand. Darkness then just appeared from Riku’s chest. Riku
staggered a bit before James tried to help.*
James: “What did you do to him!?”
Ansem: “I simply tempered the darkness that yet remains in your heart.”
Riku: “You still think that I’d rely on darkness!?”
Ansem: “To use it or not is your choice. I’ll be waiting, Riku...for you to sense it and yield to the
darkness in your heart!”
*Ansem then disappears into a portal that appeared.*
James: “Yeesh. That guy’s a nutcase.”
*Unknown room.*
*An Organization member with his hood off was thinking. A portal appeared and a man with
brown hair appeared.*
???: “Don’t I even warrant a hello, Lexaeus?”
*A second portal appeared. An old man with blond hair steps out.*
???: “What is going on here, Zexion? I want an explanation.”
Zexion: “Nice to see you too, Vexen. It’s such a shame. The Organization used to be the rope
that bound us together. “
Vexen: “You’re only number 6! How dare you-“
Lexaeus: “Let it go, Vexen.”
Vexen: *!* *Angry face.*
*Dead silence lasts between them for about 7 seconds.*
Lexaeus: “Zexion, tell us. What did you detect?”
Zexion: *Thinking position* “Visitors. I picked up three scents in the castle’s lowest basement.
One of them is Maleficent-“
Vexen: “Don’t be absurd. The witch is gone. She cannot return from the realm of darkness of her
own volition.”
Zexion: “If you would let me finish...The scent belonged not to the real Maleficent, but to a very
convincing double. But I truly cannot say much beyond that since the double is no more. Our
other visitors saw to that.”
Lexaeus: “And who are they?”
Zexion: “One of them is the child of Deiter: James.”
Vexen: “He’s here in this castle? How amusing.”
Zexion: “I was surprised when I finished identifying his scent. It’s very faint, but very familiar.
As for the other scent...I do not know for sure...But the scent was very similar to that of the
Superior.”
Vexen: “And yet, not exactly the same, was it? This truly piques my curiosity, much like that
boy that can transform into a wolf. It’s such a shame that I didn’t get a chance to capture him to
study his abilities.”
Zexion: “Now- what to do?”
Lexaeus: “We wait- see what develops.”
*Beast-ham immediately stops the story.*
Beast-ham: “So that man in black was Vexen! He tried to capture me, but I fought him off. I
wonder what happened to him...”
Sora : “Axel torched him to death.”
*A scene shows when Axel torches Vexen and he fades away from existence.*
Beast-ham: “Well, at least I won’t have to be research material for his eyes.”
Andre: “Personally, I’d agree with you.”
James: “ANYway...”
*Back to the story.*
*James and Riku advances through the starting point of floor 10.*
Riku: “Something smells...funny...”
James: “I don’t smell anything!”
Riku: “What’s that scent? It’s so familiar...”
James: “What are you smelling anyway?”
Riku: *!* “Darkness. It’s the smell of darkness.”
James: “Darkness?”
Riku: “I can’t believe this is happening. The darkness even seeped into my skin...”
James: “While you’re being stupid about it, hand me the card. I’ll open the door.”
*Riku hands James the cards. He advances to the door.*
???: “Don’t worry, Riku.”
Riku: *!* “Your Majesty!”
*A light ball descended in front of Riku. It turned into an illusion of King Mickey. He was in
Re:Com costume.*
Riku:*Happy face.* *!* “What happened? I can see right through you!”
James: “Who you talking to?”
Riku: “His Majesty!”
James: “Huh?” *Notices the Mickey illusion.* “Whoa! A ghost!”
Mickey: “Funny, huh? I can only send a bit of my power to this place. That’s why I got a request
for ya!”
Riku: “Request?”
Mickey: “Listen, Riku. Just because darkness holds you, don’t let go of who you are. You’ve got
to fight the darkness inside you! It won’t be easy to do, I know. But please don’t forget. Even in
the deepest darkness, there’s always a little bit of light.”
Riku: “Light within darkness...”
Mickey: “Excuse me, could continue your card selection?”
James: “Um sure!”
Mickey: “You and I have seen it. The far, welcoming light inside the door of darkness. The light
of Kingdom Hearts- it will show you the way! Please don’t give up! Believe in the light. That’s a
request from my heart.”
Riku: “Okay... I’ll do my best.”
Mickey: “Trust me. I’ll try to find a way to reach both of you. I’ll get there, I promise.”
*Mickey reaches his hand out like about to do a hand shake. Riku tries to shake his hand, but his
hand passed through the illusion.*
Riku: “You’re an illusion...”
Mickey: “Don’t worry! We shook hands in our hearts, remember? We’re connected, you and
me.”
Riku: “Guess we are.”
Mickey: “I have to ask, but could you watch James?”
Riku: *!* “How did you know James?”
Mickey: “Even though he doesn’t remember me, he and I go back. I’m sure he’ll be of help! Just
give him a chance, would you?”
Riku: “Alright.”
*Mickey’s illusion fades away.*
*End of story of chapter.*
James: “That’s our first time we saw King Mickey in Castle Oblivion.”
Sora: “So Ansem started to take over Riku again, but how does that explain James’s jerk
nature?”
James: *Hmph.*
Riku: “As we proceeded on, he neglected to fight together with me, because he seemed to sense
darkness increasing in me, so he stopped fighting with me, and started to pick fights against me.”
Pashmina: “James!”
James: “Sorry...”
Riku: The next time we speak about our time in Castle Oblivion, we’ll explain the time we met
Vexen.”
