                           AN ORDINANCE
    REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 06-77 ENTITLED “AMENDING THE TRAFFIC
  CONTROL MAP AND FILE OF THE CITY BY ENACTING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC
     CONTROLS ON BASSETT ROAD”, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

              WHEREAS, Ordinance 06-77 was adopted August 14, 2006 as a temporary measure
during construction of Bassett Road; and

            WHEREAS, the construction is complete and the Police Department has
recommended that normal traffic flow in this area be resumed and maintained;

               BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bay Village, Ohio:

                SECTION 1. That Ordinance 06-77 entitled “Amending the Traffic Control Map
and File of the City By Enacting Temporary Traffic Controls on Bassett Road, and Declaring an
Emergency” which presently reads:

                    “SECTION 1. That the Traffic Map and File of the City of Bay Village is
hereby amended by enacting new temporary one-way traffic flow as follows:

       Bassett Road                           south bound only permitted between Lake Road and
                                              Wolf Road. No vehicular entry to Bassett Road
                                              (south) from Wolf Road due to Bassett Road bridge
                                              out south of Wolf Road.”

be and the same is hereby repealed in its entirety.

               SECTION 3. That the Traffic Control Map of the City be and the same is hereby
amended to designate the permanent traffic controls as stated, and the Traffic Control File be and
the same is hereby amended to provide for the erection of the appropriate signs at said locations.

               SECTION 4. That it is found and determined that all formal actions of this
Council concerning and relating to the adoption of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting
of Council, and that all deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in
such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements,
including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.

                SECTION 5. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure
immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare, and for
the further reason that it is immediately necessary to return to normal traffic flow due to the
completion of Bassett Road construction, wherefore this ordinance shall be in full force and take
effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
