AT Report for CANFOR – PRINCE GEORGE: 93F,G,J,K

Photography: Colour 1:30000 scale flown August 2002 by Hauts-Monts with 2 cameras: Wild

RC20 s/n 5155 fl 153.253mm, Zeiss TOP15 s/n 149989, fl 152.684mm.

Control: Full Airborne GPS for 1:30000 photo, points transferred from TRIM II AT blocks:

Bowron 1997, and Fraser Lake 1997.

Scanning: Done by Triathlon utilizing Z/I PhotoScan TD scanner, 14 micron pixel, JPEG .tjp

format.

Mensuration: Point selection, coding & measuring done with Z/I Imaging ISAT and ISDM

software.

Block Adjustment: PATB-NT revision Nov-00, analysis with GRAVIEWB. Features used: Self

Calibration with maximum 12 parameters and Airborne Drift Correction

stripwise.

Procedure: Total 1353 photos were bridged in this block. ISAT software was used to

generate passpoints and tiepoints by means of automatic image correlation. All

points generated by ISAT have 8-digit point numbers. Editing was then carried

out using ISDM semi-automatic (operator controlled) method. Additional

manually measured points have TRIM2 point numbers with 6 or 7 digits.

Additional tiepoints were added to the outside halves of the first and last photo in

each strip to strengthen the block perimeter.

Results: Sigma Naught is 4.97 microns or 0.156 meter. Full statistics are included in the

"printout" files supplied. The results indicate the relative accuracy is better than

0.5 metre. I believe the absolute accuracy is in the order of +/- 3 metres in

horizontal and vertical.

INPUT AT FILES DELIVERED

canfor_11.con Input control file for PATB-NT. Contains horizontal, vertical, and airborne GPS

control.

canfor_11.im Original plate coordinates for input to PATB-NT. Coordinates are refined to the

fiducial system by normal 6 parameter transformation & lens distortion correction,

but NOT corrected for earth curvature, refraction or self calibration.

OUTPUT AT FILES DELIVERED

canfor_11_sort.pri Full printout file from PATB-NT adjustment with Self Calibration. Includes

statistics, corrected plate coordinates with residuals in microns, control summary

with residuals in meters, critical points and adjusted coordinates in ascending

order.

canfor_12_inv_sort.pri Printout file from PATB-NT using Inversion of Normal Equations. Includes

additional statistics for posteriori standard deviations, control summary, and

adjusted coordinates with standard deviations for each point.

canfor_12_inv_sort.ori Exterior orientations with standard deviations. PATB rotational matrix is based on:

omega primary, phi secondary, kappa tertiary.

canfor_11_sort.cor Output plate coordinates. Coordinates are corrected for self calibration, earth

curvature and refraction. At end of file are Horizontal & Vertical control as well as

corrected Airborne GPS control.

pcs_11_sort.txt Perspective centers (pt# xyz), extracted from exterior orientations.

canfor_11_sort.adj Adjusted terrain coordinates and residuals, sorted by photo.

Hardcopy outputs provided are:

 This written A/T report.

 Printout of block adjustment summaries including statistics (run#11 self-calibration and run#12

inversion), and control summary with airborne GPS.

 GRAVIEWB plots: Horizontal Control Vectors, and Error Ellipses.

 A/T index plot @ 1:250,000 scale, with photography roll and frame numbers shown prominently in

red.

If any questions arise, contact George Jarrouj who carried out all A/T work, or Dave Dixon who carried out

final block adjustment and QA.
