• Client, host, server
Client: clients are computers that are used to get work done. For E.g. you are a client
if you are viewing or downloading files from an internal server. Or when using browser
to access certain web pages.
Servers: it is a powerful computer that is specifically used for providing services, to
the other clients computers on the network.
The server provides lots services to serve the needs of clients on the network such as;
Providing a central, common file storage area
Sharing hardware such as printers
Controlling who can or can’t have access the network
Sharing Internet connections
Host; A host is a computer that provides services and applications to users on the
network just like server. One of the difference between host and a server is that server
can provide a common file storage while a host doesn’t.
