About the Forum
A consultation paper has been issued by the Law Reform Commission's Charities Sub-committee to elicit
views and comments from the public on recommendations to change the law relating to charities and set up a
charities commission to regulate charities in Hong Kong. The full consultation paper can be downloaded at
http://www.hkreform.gov.hk/en/news/20110616.htm and consultation lasts until 16 September 2011.
The Institute has invited speakers from the Law Reform Commission's Charities Sub-committee and charitable
organizations to give views on the paper.
Registration
This forum will be of particular interest to accountants advising or working in charities, directors and
treasurers of charities, charity trustees and administrators and their advisers. The number of places is
limited and in the event of over-subscription, places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
