Notice to Candidates
Candidates who pass the examination may have their fingerprints taken at the
Pearson VUE Test Center. There are many advantages to electronic
fingerprinting over wet-ink fingerprinting, as electronic fingerprinting is:
• Convenient, as it is available in the test center immediately after
candidates pass the exam
• An accurate, efficient, clean process with no wet ink or residue
• A way of producing distinct, high-quality prints
• In accordance with existing FBI and IAFIS requirements for live-scan
imaging and therefore has a low rejection rate
Electronic fingerprints will be printed on the FD-258 card required when applying
for licensure. Fingerprinting services are available only at the following test
centers.
• Boise
• Coeur d’Alene
• Pocatello
• Midvale, UT
• Spokane, WA
The fee for electronic fingerprinting is $60, which includes the FBI processing
fee. Unlike the examination fee, the fingerprinting fee must be paid at the test
center by certified check, company check, cashier's check, personal check, or
money order made payable to “Pearson VUE”. Cash and credit cards will NOT
be accepted at the test center.
