Education and Experience

Preferred:
                                          Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Development. 2 years direct service as a teacher in
                                          an Early Childhood classroom.

Minimum:
                                          Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Development. 1 year direct service in an Early
                                          Childhood classroom or new graduate with student learning expereince.

Other Requirements:                       Certification in Food Safety and Sanitation, CPR, and First Aid desirable. Must pass
                                          fingerprint background check, provide medical evaluation forms every 2 years with a
                                          TB test. Be able to lift a 30 pound child.

Basic Functions:
                                          Under the supervision of the Site Director and in cooperation with the School Age
                                          Specialist, the School Age Group Leader is responsible for developing an enriched after
                                          school and summer program for children ages 5-12 that is safe and nurturing, and
                                          enhances their physical, social, emotional, and mental well-being.


Education and Experience

Preferred:
                                          BA/AA in Elementary Education, Child Development, Recreation, or Physical Education
                                          or related field. 2 years expereince in school age group work.

Minimum:
                                          High School Diploma/GED plus six semester hours in Child Developemnt or related
                                          field. 18 months expereince in school age group work.

Other Requirements:                       Bi-Lingual Spanish/English. CDL with school bus endorsement preferred, or valid
                                          drivers license and eligibility to obtain certification.
