How do I create a MySQL database?
Solution
To setup a MySQL database to be used in a PHP script on your site please
follow these instructions.

1. Log in to your Host Ultra control panel by going to
http://www.hostultra.com/login.html
2. Click on the MySQL Databases icon
3. Scroll down to where you see the box labled Db:
4. Enter the name of the database you want to create and click on the Add Db
button.
The name of the database you enter will be prefixed with your account username
and the ( _ ) underscore character.
For example if your username is "johndoe3" and you create the database "forum"
the name of the database which will be created is "johndoe3_forum"
5. After you created the database click on the Go Back link.
6. You will now be back in the mysql screen where you will see the new database
you just created.
7. You now need to create a user for that database. Scroll down to the where it
says Users: and enter the username and password of your new database
username and press the Add User button
This should NOT be the same as your account username or account password!
The name of the mysql username you enter will be prefixed with your account
username and the ( _ ) underscore character.
For example if your username is "johndoe3" and you create the mysql username
"forum" the name of the mysql username which will be created is
"johndoe3_forum"
8. After you created the mysql user click on the Go Back link.
9. You will now be back in the mysql screen where you will see the new database
and mysql user you just created.
10. At the very top you will see two drop down boxes labled User: and Db: you
will need to select the mysql username and mysql database you just created and
click on the Add User to Db button. Do not change the configuration of the
checkboxes before the Add User to Db button unless you know what you are
doing.

You have now sucessfully created a MySQL datbase.
The database info you will enter into your script is:

Server: localhost
Database Username: yourusername_yourmysqluser
Database Password: the password you just created
Database: yourusername_yourdatabase

Important security notice:
Never enter your hosting account password when a script installation asks for
your mysql password. Although entering your account username and password
will work it is extremely insecure as doing so will allow anyone who can read your
mysql configuration file to know your account password, thus giving him full
control over your account.
