Individual Demo Reel: Studied in Vancouver Film School and produced a 4-minute demo reel using skills developed in the 3D animation and Visual Effects program. Submission of reel to companies after graduation resulted in four interviews and a freelance contract. Team Animation Projects: Worked in teams at Simon Fraser University to produce short animations for two courses. Played various roles, such as heading one project, assigning tasks and deadlines to fellow team mates, and offering advice based on prior knowledge from producing demo reel at Vancouver Film School. Seattle Poster Spreads: Worked in a team of four to create a 72 X 4.4 inch strip of posters. Used Photoshop skills to create cohesiveness between the designs created by each team mate and contributed to team essay. As designated leader, organized and led the presentations, as well as assigned tasks to team members. Rebranding Project: Worked in a team of six to help redesign the brand of a local elementary school. This included flyer designs, slogans, logos, and website layout. Discussed design issues with the client and coordinated times for team mates to meet, work on design suggestions, and rehearse the overall presentation. The client was pleased with the result, and requested the team to present the design samples to the school board in January 2005. Online Toy Store: Worked in a team of four to design an online toy store for midterm project. Helped to create graphics and sound effects, as well as contribute to some flash pages and Actionscript. Received a grade of 92% upon completion of the project. Video Learning Modules: While working for the Co-operative Education program at Simon Fraser University, headed video project that involved creating visual learning modules that educated students on preparing for their work terms. Duties involved purchasing and gathering filming equipment, recruiting actors, and constructing scripts and storyboards. Film Titling: Worked in teams to create titling projects such as promotional TV advertisements and movie opening titles using Adobe AfterEffects. Product Design and Methodical Practice: Worked on several teams to create original and innovative products based on research and curriculum of each course. Assignments included identifying a microtrend and developing it through lateral processing, and conducting workshops consisting of people in specific age groups to develop a product that caters to that audience. Conducted workshops and acted as spokesperson on several occasions for the projects, maintaining constant communication between volunteers and team members and developing several graphical elements of each project. Also was responsible for recording all stages of development through video and documentation.

As a writer, worked in the knowledge department downtown, whose main responsibility was to share information about the company, video game industry, and other related news with all the studios around the world through an internal company website. Responsibilities included writing and publishing articles, interviewing various employees from different departments, as well as creating promotional materials to advertise various aspects about Electronic Arts.
Simon Fraser University: Co-op Online Learning Community

As the student community host, responsibilities included writing and editing online articles, moderating and contributing to message forums, responding to general queries, liaising with external contacts, developing marketing materials, monitoring the website for technical problems, delegating tasks to volunteers, and educating students about the Co-op program.

As freelance work, created computer-generated scenes for the musical “Deep Blue and the Magical Grooves” to be displayed on a theater screen behind performers, which premiered July 5, 2003 at the Grand Theatre of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Worked under the producer, Steve Ho, and kept in constant contact with him throughout the project. Learned time management skills and proper communication skills with the client.
