INSTRUCTOR
Vivian A. Smith, CFRE, has over 25 years of experience working with community organizations and her
commitment to providing highly effective, ethical and responsible services to the not-for-profit sector
has positioned her as one of the most successful consultants working in BC today. Smith’s collaborative,
innovative and joyful approach to philanthropy has resulted in a winning track record in support of a
wide range of charitable causes, including education, youth, sports, social services, health care and arts
and culture. As the principal of her firm, Liberty Quest Enterprises, Smith has built upon her experience
as an executive director of a BC hospital foundation, where she spent nine years guiding the organization
from its very inception through a process of rapid growth and structural change to its current position
as a fundraising leader in its community. She has a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation
through the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), is certified to instruct at AFP training and
educational sessions, and is vice president of AFP Vancouver’s Board of Directors.
REGISTRATION FEE
The fee for each workshop is $55 (+ 5% GST = $57.75). We are offering a discounted fee of $25 (+ 5%
GST = $26.25) for second and each additional registrant from the same organization. The registration fee

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation within 5 working days prior to the workshop: 50% of fee refunded. Cancellation within 3
working days prior to the workshop: no refund (substitutes are welcome).
Transferring from one workshop to another is considered a course cancellation and a new registration.
You must return your original course tax receipt in order to process any refund or transfer.
LOCATION
These workshops take place at Simon Fraser University Surrey, Central City, 13450 102nd Avenue, Surrey.
SFU Surrey is conveniently located at 102nd Avenue and King George Highway, one block away from the
Surrey Central SkyTrain station and bus station. Pay parking on Level P5 of the Central City parkade is
available to participants arriving by automobile.
