IIA Romania – setup objectives
Main goals :
- To be an open forum for debating, promoting and developing
internal audit profession;
- To promote The Standards;
- To represent the members opinion in front of the public and private
organizations, within Romania or abroad;
- To develop quality services regarding specific trainings, in order all
the members to improve themselves their activity and achieve a
professional language;

IIA Romania activity – brief information
- Professional training program 2010 : 18 items - 9 IIA
Romania, 9 IIA Romania/IIA Global (standards, internal audit
missions, risk analysis, internal controls assessment,
detecting the fraud, internal audit reporting, the acquisition
function, the auditing the performance, analysis of skills,
accounting, IT auditing, financial auditing, computer assisted
internal audit activities, sampling, CIA trainings – upon
request, etc);
- CBOK 2010 survey;
- Feedback on 2010 IPPF;
- Quarterly IIA Romania conferences (Romanian /
international speakers);

IIA Romania activity – brief information
Current objectives :
- Translation of the IPPF;
- Participate to the amendment of the current internal audit law for the
public sector (debates regarding the new proposals, analyze and send to
the regulators the relevant comments, monitoring this process, etc);
- Participate as consultant in the process of setting up the occupational
standard of internal auditor for public institutions;
- Translation of the IIA certification exams into Romanian;
Advocacy for the profession to:
Those who we want to influence to promote our activities AND those
who we want to join our forces in order to increase the quality/volume of
our activities, the image of IIA Romania and finally.......
TO PUT ON A STRONG BASIS THE PROFESSION IN ROMANIA;

Our advocacy approach
Building an effective relationship with our advocacy targets by:
- Organizing meetings, seminars and debating sessions with common
subjects related to promote our profession;
- Identify and prioritize advocacy partners;
- Mixed meetings (IIA Romania + our partner in advocacy) in order to set
up the actions plan regarding the relevant strategy steps);
- To assign advocacy partner roles (as well as vice versa);
- An active IIA Romania participating to all opportunities created by the
third parties, in order to have our own speech regarding the profession;
- Develop and maintain by all means advocacy partner relationships;
- Invite to our activities relevant representatives from the social,
economic, politic domains, etc, which understand and promote our goals,
scope and the importance of the internal audit profession;
