EAST LOS ANGELES, Calif.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Pan American Bank (Los Angeles)
(www.PanAmericanBank.us) today announced that Jesse Torres, President and CEO of the East Los Angeles-
based Pan American Bank, has been featured as an outstanding leader in the recently released “Renewal Coaching
Fieldbook.”
According to publisher Jossey-Bass, “The Renewal Coaching Fieldbook outlines the seven practices that leaders
can learn and develop in order to sustain their energy to do meaningful work. These practices enable leaders to
bounce forward in the face of loss, create networks of support, make wise and timely decisions, and engage in
personal renewal daily. Throughout are compelling stories of leaders who have overcome the challenges that seek to
diminish and overwhelm them, and succeeded in doing meaningful work for a greater good.”
Authors Elle Allison and Douglas B. Reeves feature Mr. Torres in the book’s opening chapter, “The Heart of
Leadership for Sustainable Change: Meaningful Work to Serve a Greater Good.” The authors write, “Pan
American Bank president Jesse Torres grew up in East Los Angeles, where he now works tirelessly to ensure the
financial success of the bank while simultaneously providing opportunities for his customers and community.” The
authors describe Mr. Torres as having “joined an elite group of forward thinkers who understand that business
performance and social responsibility are inextricably linked.
According to Mr. Torres, “I am extremely honored to have been featured in this book. I do what I do because I
love my job and the challenges that come with it. Despite the banking industry’s recent challenges I continue to
believe that I could not have a better job. I only wish everyone were as happy with their job as I am with mine.”
The Renewal Coaching Fieldbook is available wherever business books are sold. It is also available online at
