TEACHER’S NOTES 3
Indication of Additional National Curriculum Units for Each Resource Card
These notes provide broad indications of additional national curriculum units for each of the resource cards.
Where we have referenced a National Curriculum link, this shows that the part of the resource indicated can map to the area of the
National Curriculum identified. It does not imply that the whole of the unit identified can be covered by this activity.
Note on units and ages – we have identified in the table a range of units in KS2. We should note that KS2 covers years 3, 4, 5 and 6, and
that this represents a massive range in terms of literacy and numeracy skills, as well as in the implications of the curriculum headings for
learning. So although the content and activities of some of the SCRIB resources are relevant to KS2 year 3 or 4 units, the level of literacy
and numeracy required would mean that activities need to be edited by teachers.
