Fostering Provide care in your home for rescued animals with support from Homeward
Cats Trails, take animals to adoption events.
Dogs
Home Visits Visit potential foster's and adopters’ homes in your area to ensure a quality home
environment. Because no animal can be placed without completion of this step,
this is a critical job.
Transports Provide transportation for rescued animals.
Long Pick up animals from shelter meeting points.
Short Take animals to boarding and/or vet appointments, take animals to events.
Receiving Meeting transports when they arrive locally to help process animals.
Adoption Events
Handle Dogs/Cats Handle dogs and cats and talk with potential adopters, provide transportation for
dogs in boarding.
Coordinate Events Plan events by emailing fosters ahead of time, track attendees, ensure there is
information on each animal at the event, arrive early to set up, manage logistics,
and talk with adopters.
PetMAC Adoption Work at PetMAC (www.petmac.org) week/weekends helping out in the shop
Center/Shop with stocking shelves, general cleaning, help customers.
