Here are the area schools not making adequate yearly progress toward the goat set by the federal No Child Left Behind, as reflected on the 2009 Connecticut Mastery Test and Connecticut Academic Performance Test. To make adequate yearly progress, roughly 8 out of 10 all students in a school had to achieve at or above proficiency in reading and math, as well as 80 percent of students in the following subgroups where there are 40 or more in a school: white, black, Hispanic, Asian, disabled, economically disadvantaged and English language learner. Failure to meet the standard in any group will get a citation on the list.
