WormTurner for Kids - Version 1.3 3/15/2006
Note this Schedule and Spreadsheet is currently set up for to aid in my experimentation on using the Molly's Herbals Worm Formula
as a coccidiosis prevention treatment as well as a kid wormer. The schedule is not finalized as "set & standard".
If you use this current schedule, you understand you are participating in the experiment.
Please report any results you may find.
Results to date:
2005: 18 kids - 1 case of diarrhea and was cleared up after double dose treatment
Instructions
This Spreadsheet is intended to help calculate a worming and coccidiosis prevention treatment for kids.
This treatment schedule is set up to be used with Molly's Herbals Worm Formula 2 part system only.
This herbal formula can be found here
To administer, mix the Worm Formula with water until is just liquid enough (but not runny) to be able to suck up onto a dosing syringe.
For more information on dosing, see here.
Note, the herb will thicken a little after the water is added, so stir a bit and add a little more water as needed.
You may also administer as herbal dosage balls. 10ml= ~1/2 adult dose / 20-25ml= 1 adult dose.
IMPORTANT: If a kid shows any signs of diarrhea, they are immediately given a double dose of formula 1# for three days in a row.
Data Tab
In general: You should enter data only in columns with yellow headings. Columns with blue headings are calculated for you.
If you accidentally overwrite a calculated cell or need more rows, you may copy a working cell from anywhere else in the column. It will automatically
recalculate correctly.
This spreadsheet is customizable, so don't be afraid to experiment with how you want it to handle your data.
In Column A.
List your kids' names
or
The name you gave given to the particular "batch" of kids, i.e.: "1st batch", "Goldie & Max's Kids", etc...
In Column B (this is your start/base date so the spreadsheet can make all it's calculations)
Enter the kid's birth date in column B
or
Customize more fully depending on how you wish> The following are some examples::
1) Enter the birth date of the last kid in the batch.

2) To "sync up" the treatment date you may wish to assign a start/base date other than the actual birth date.
We like to do all of our worming on Wednesdays. We call it "Wormer Wednesday" and is easier for us to remember this way.
i.e. : To sync it so all treatments fall on a Wednesday, enter the date of the nearest Wednesday to the birth of the kid.
or enter the date of the nearest Wednesday to the birth of the kid last kid in the particular batch.
So, for us, what we prefer to do is enter the start date for a "batch" is the nearest Wednesday to the birth of the last kid in the batch.
Important: After you make any entries, click on the yellow sort note. Proper sorting is necessary for this sheet to work correctly.
Click on the yellow calendar note to generate a printable month-per-page calendar containing notes on important dates.
Generating the calendar may take 20 seconds to 4 minutes depending on the speed of your computer. Please be patient.
Controls Tab
In general: You may edit any of the values written in black.
After editing controls, you may need to re-sort the data or re-generate the calendar before the new values take affect.
Click on the yellow sort or calendar notes on the Data tab.
The "Dates" control counts the number of days based on the start/base date you entered in Column B on the Data Tab
The sheet is set up as a default with my current treatment schedule.
You can change the day numbers in this column to customize any way you wish the days will correspond with the Formula column.
The "Formula" section controls what is displayed at the top of the blue columns on the Data Tab and the info on the generated calendar.
I use this to keep track of which formula (1# or 2#) how much should be given for each treatment.
The first two entries are left blank by default, but you can make this anything you wish and also change the number of days as well.
To omit a column of dates, leave the Formula entry in this section blank.
Generating the calendar may take 20 seconds to 4 minutes depending on the speed of your computer. Please be patient.
PRINTING A CALENDER
You can print out the calendar if desired.
To print single pages of the calendar, don't use the print icon, but instead go to the calendar tab
and count down the calendar months to find the "page number" of the month you wish to print.
Choose File, Print, and in the Print Range section of the print dialog window, put the number of the page/month you wish to print.
