					Redistricting Timeline

        1. Meeting 1
              a. Review and set the priorities of the committee and set order of priority of focus for
                  development of plans beyond population
                        i. Compactness
                       ii. Incumbents
                      iii. Communities of Interest
                      iv. Polling Places/Existing Precincts
              b. Review Approaches presented at last meeting that are in-line with committee
                  priorities
                        i. Determine which if any of the approaches meet the needs of the committee
                               1. Start from Scratch
                               2. Start from Existing Districts
                               3. Geographic/Statistical/Mixed approach
                       ii. Explore alternatives to the approaches presented
              c. Set goals for next committee meeting
                        i. Have plans ready for each approach requested by the committee
                       ii. Examine issues related to accomplishing all of the priorities – For example,
                           can incumbents and precincts be preserved and meet the guidelines set
                           forth by the state.
              d. Review Timeline

        2. Meeting 2
              a. Review Plans requested from prior meeting
              b. Examine Issues for requested plans
              c. Create first plan with Committee based on priorities
              d. Review and adjust top 7 districts with maximum variance or based on geography

        3. Meeting 3
              a. Review of adjustments for incongruity and gaps
              b. Review issues with current plan
              c. Decision to be made on whether to continue with current plan
              d. Review and adjust top 7 districts with maximum variance or based on geography

        4. Meeting 4
              a. Review of adjustments for incongruity and gaps
              b. Review issues with current plan
              c. Decision to be made on whether to continue with current plan
              d. Review and adjust top 7 districts with maximum variance or based on geography

        5. Meeting 5
              a. Review of adjustments for incongruity and gaps
              b. Review issues with current plan
              c. Decision to be made on whether to continue with current plan
              d. Continued review of top variances if needed
              e. Review and adjustment for fine tuning of district boundaries

      c. Overall review of set priorities compared to 2000 data: Compactness, Incumbency,
          Communities of Interest, and Polling Places

8. Meeting 8
      a. Final Adjustments
