Stella programme: evolution
The main objective was:
- to provide opportunities for administrative
staff mobility,
- to offer cross cultural and work placement
experiences,
by means of 1 week work exchanges among
University members within the CGU (in Europe).

Stella programme: evolution
European universities participated in the
programme during the period 2003-2008
(6 years). The budget available for each
call was 20.000 €.
Yearly, universities offered about 70
placements and sent more than 100
applications for the selection process
(done by the steering committee).
Aprox. 40 administrative staff members
benefited from the programme each
edition within Europe (period of
placements: March-October).

Stella programme: evolution
In 2008, the Erasmus programme was
opened to finance other types of
mobilities, including the mobility of
administrative staff and Stella was re-
designed.
After much discussion, Stella focused on
the Intercontinental Staff Mobility, mainly
with Peru and Mexico in 2009.
American placements were open for the
period: March-December. This mobility
received a Stella grant for travel and
meals. Accommodation was paid by the
host university.

Stella programme: evolution
European offers were shown in a
permanent notice board on the CGU
website but without CGU financing.
Institutions had to address the target unit
in Europe directly and use the Erasmus
programme funding resources.
Institutions willing to participate had to
offer at least one department/service to
be visited and accept the decision of the
steering committee regarding the match
of offers and applications.

Stella 2011
Promote the participation of all the CGU
American partners in the programme: 6
universities in Mexico, 2 in Peru, 1 in Chile,
and 2 in the USA (in order to offer more
placements and increase the mobility
possibilities).
Find new financing resources for the
programme as the intercontinental mobility is
more expensive than the European mobility.
Implement the online application form for
future editions.Study the participation of
researchers in charge of international projects
in the programme.
