Mild cognitive impairment, or MCI for short, takes a toll on the affected person’s ability to be
able to remember things and to be able to vocalize/communicate their thoughts. It may be a
precursor to more severe diseases like Alzheimer’s or dementia, but isn’t classified as severe.

MCI may start off as just being forgetful. Everyone has their forgetful moments, right?
However, if these moments seem to happen more and more, you might be an early candidate
for mild cognitive impairment.

Repeating signs of forgetfulness isn’t the only symptom associated with MCI. High blood
pressure that leads to hypertension, diabetes, heart problems, irregular mood swings, and
even not being able to smell are all signs that you might have MCI.

                                              Luckily, even being diagnosed with MCI doesn’t
                                              mean it is the end of the world for you. There
                                              are many things that you can do right away that
                                              will    surely  having    you    see    marked
                                              improvements.

                                              If you start to notice that you have any or all of
                                              the symptoms associated with mild cognitive
                                              disorder, you may be able alleviate some or all of
                                              those symptoms simply by leading a healthy
                                              lifestyle.

                                              This means that you should understand what
                                              kind of meals you should be eating on a daily
                                              basis and what kind of exercise routine you
                                              should be implementing as well. This may seem
                                              like a given or “duh” advice, but your choice of
                                              diet and lifestyle will directly impact your
health…including brain health.

Besides understanding proper diet and mental training exercise and implementing a plan to
do the right things day in and day out, you should also participate in regular brain exercise or
mind training as well.

There are mental training exercises and other brain fitness tasks that you can play each day
that will work to stimulate your mind. The more you do this, the better your brain will function
with time. You will soon notice that you can remember things easier, be able to focus better,
and live a life without having to depend on others to do things for you.

Your mind may be the most important and integral piece of your body and should be cared for
and looked after daily. Keeping in shape and maintaining a healthy diet will help the brain
mature and grow the way it was meant. To keep yourself from developing mild cognitive
disorder, start first with making sure your daily choices are healthy and smart.
