I am a Cisco Network Engineer with major focus in Cisco Security devices and services. Having a bachelor’s degree in
Computer Systems Engineering and Cisco Certifications of Cisco ASA Specialist and Cisco IPS Specialist, I have my major
expertise in Cisco ASA/PIX firewalls, IPS/IDS, Router and Switch security and other Cisco Security tools. Along with that, I
have in depth knowledge and experience of Cisco Routing and Switching and Microsoft Infrastructure Solutions and
VMware Virtualization solution. I am a kind of person who is a quick learner, hard working and can handle pressure
situations with calm.

Al Salam Bank Bahrain started its operations in early 2006. I was given the task to accomplish the network and
infrastructure setup for its new premises as the Bank was operating at a temporary location initially. The included all the
technical setup as well as coordinating with and managing all the vendors for network, hardware and system
installations and setup. Since then, I have been managing the Bank’s network and network security completely and am
sharing the responsibility of System Administrator as well. My job highlights at the Bank are as follows;
Network Setup/Implementation/administration using Cisco Switches 6500, 3500 series and Cisco Routers 3800,
2800, 1800, 1700 series
Securing the Bank’s network with the help of Cisco ASA 5500 series Firewalls, implementation of DMZs, Failover,
Access Control Lists, Static/Dynamic NAT, Object Groups, Modular Policy Framework, Protocol Inspection, IPSec
VPN, Clientless SSL VPN and AnyConnect VPN.
Cisco IPS (AIP-SSM), including implementation of signature based traffic inspection, custom signatures, traffic
monitoring against threats, Target Value Rating, Risk Ratings and Traffic Logging etc.

Between my Networking careers, I had a venture with Data-Warehousing for two years. I have gained valuable
experience and expertise while working in NCR Corporation as a Teradata Professional Services Consultant. My job
highlights are as follows;
Took part in implementation of Teradata CRM™ (Customer Relationship Manager) Marketing Solution ABNAMRO Bank
Pakistan, the project included:
Requirements gathering for segmentation to be used in CRM campaign configuration. Identification of
Marketing campaigns for different banking products to be run and managed through CRM. Segmentation
mapping to the Data-Warehouse attributes. Customer database loading script development. Installing and
configuring CRM software. Complete solution integration testing.
Took part in Teradata Data-Warehousing implementation for ABN AMRO Bank Pakistan, which included;
Data Mapping Design in correspondence with NCR Financial LDM version 7, ETL Development, Transformation
Design according to Business rules, Data Loading Strategy, Transformation and Loading script development and
Backup and recovery strategy.
Dewan Mushtaq Group, Pakistan (Feb 2003 to Mar 2004)

I started my career after graduation as a Junior Network and System Administrator at Dewan Mushtaq Group, which is
an Industrial group in Pakistan. I was given a task for setting up one of their new office locations for 50 plus users. The
project included;
Set up and administering Network infrastructure with using Cisco 2900 series switches and Cisco 1700 series
routers.
Configuring and administering Active Directory using Windows 2000 server and proxy server using ISA Proxy
