Website
This project is due the 8th week of school. Each week late 10 points out of 100 will be
taken off.
1. Do research! You need to know what a website is made of; there’s usually a top
banner area with a logo and a tag line for the business, then navigational linking
underneath that horizontally or to the left or right of the website vertically, with a
body content area stating what the website is about.
2. You MUST use your own images, taken with a camera.
3. Concept: The website you make should be for your own design company. You are
to use your creative designing talents and come up with an entirely NEW website. No
recreates. You can look at other websites to get ideas.
5. The final size of the website will be 800 pixels wide by 600 pixels high.
I’m more lenient on the height being different sizes but the width has to be 800
pixles wide. The only thing I ask is that most of your important information be in the
top 800x600 area.
6. The use of text is a must for the website logo and links. Use a font that
compliments the theme. The body area where you will be entering information about
your website should be a common font (arial, verdana, times, etc..).
7. For mounting, the website needs to be 800 wide by 600 high - NO BIGGER. It
must be NEATLY MOUNTED IN THE CENTER OF A BLACK MATTE BOARD. The
print shop has a beautiful matte cutter, do NOT use a scissor. Give yourself a 1" inch
border around all four sides. I also recommend old school rubber cement for
attaching the piece to the matte; it’s easier to attach, & no crazy spray stuff. Do not
put your name on front. This piece of paper must be attached to the back of the
project to be accepted.
