ECONOMY!
-How do you plan to deal with the economic
crisis…?
Fund more scientific research into biofuels and
alternate energy so that we will have something
that other countries would be willing to import
from us. If we increase our exporting and cut our
importing we will be able to generate positive cash
flow. Adding a small import tax would increase
money generated by goods that aren’t made in the
United States.
- Is it possible to restore the economy without
raising taxes?
Yes, to fix the economy we should increase
consumer spending on goods that are made in
America. We need to extend the bush tax cuts, and
start making products that other countries will want
to buy. We are not the technological mecca of the
world as we were in the 1960’s, we are losing
money because we are taking a passive stance on
technology, we must change with the world around
us and fill the demand for smaller, faster
technology.
As president how do you plan to pay for American
Recovery and Reinvestment Act?
Going back to exporting… we need to generate
income as a nation. To get out of debt we need to
create technology. Technology makes money,
technology is a tool that we can use to help our
allies while making a profit.
Foreign Policy!
- Is North Korea a threat?
I do not believe that North Korea is a threat at the
moment. They do not currently have the technology
to successfully build intercontinental weapons of
mass destruction, though they are trying. To
prevent North Korea from ever being in a position
where they would be considered an imminent
threat, we must keep constant pressure from the
UN on them in the form of sanctions, and then a
constant threat of war. Nothing would be worse
than an international nuclear war, however don’t
think of me as a Modern Day Catastrophist, we can
prevent a war.
- What moral responsibility does the USA have
for civil wars… Iraq
The United States went into Iraq in 2001 to liberate
the country from the oppression of Saddam. We are
currently in Iraq to keep the structure that we have
built over the past 10 years. We do need to get out
of Iraq, but we should not pull out all of our troops
in one motion. We need to make sure that the
structure will be kept after we bring a majority out.
My plan to get out of Iraq is to slowly bring troops
out. I want to get out just as much as anyone else.
-Continue until Al-Qaida is gone?
I feel that we should stay in Afghanistan until Al-
Qaida is completely gone. We will have lost the war
on terror if we give up. Much like any sporting
event, a forfeit is a loss. So yes I do agree with
President Obama.
- How can we improve foreign relations?
To improve foreign relations we should educate
children about the many cultures of the world.
Education is the key to acceptance. We need to
keep an open mind for a different view. I have a
dream of unity, where we can walk, side by side.
The Environment
-What would you do in your first two years to solve
out environmental issues?
In my first two years of presidency I would fund
scientific research in the field of bio fuels. Bio fuels
are renewable sources of fuel that can be used to
power existing modes of transportation. Currently
we are trying to use Hydrogen as a “bio fuel” but
what few of us realize is how hydrogen is actually
made. Hydrogen is made by splitting a water
molecule into two parts hydrogen and one part
oxygen, this process is known as electrolysis, it uses
an immense amount of electricity, much of which is
converted into heat because of the resistance
created by the minerals in the water. Elaborating on
that, we currently get most of our electricity from
generators that run on gasoline and diesel fuel. The
only way to make hydrogen a viable fuel source is to
build more nuclear power plants.
How much can the U.S Reduce dependence on
foreign oil?
We can completely get rid of the need for foreign
oil if we are able to convert current vehicles to run
on bio friendly fuels such as corn oil. We can be
independent in the sense of energy, and we may
even be able to produce surplus and export cleaner
fuels to other countries.
Healthcare
- Is HC a right?
Healthcare is a right to all who are legal citizens of
the United States. Many have complained about the
cost of universal healthcare; however what we do
not realize is that a healthier population will lead to
a stronger nation, as well as less healthcare costs in
the end because we will have been healthy for our
entire lives. Nobody should be denied treatment for
any of their diseases simply because they are
unable to pay for it. We have the right to live our
lives; we have the right to our health.
^ Hybrid- should it be private or universal
If Elected I will pass a law that will make it so an
insurance company cannot deny oneself because of
an existing condition. With this, insurance
companies would not be able to revoke coverage of
those who already have it and become ill, what is
the point of having insurance if it isn’t there when
you need it.
- What are the positive and negative aspects of
universal healthcare?
In the beginning universal healthcare will seem to
cost a lot of money across the nation, but over time
we will become healthier and need fewer
healthcares, which will in turn lower the actual cost
of it. It is much like putting solar panels on a house,
it will cost you 30,000 dollars to do it, but in the end
you will save money with it.
Education
- How do you plan to decrease the high school
dropout rate?
In 2007 the graduation rate of high school students
was only 73.2%; I find this to be an unacceptable
number. To counter the amount of high school
students who drop out I feel that the structure of
education needs to be changed. More classes that
interest students need to be put into place. In our
school district we are given the opportunity to take
classes that interest us when we complete the
required cirucclum. Not all schools are given the
chance to have art classes, or engineering classes, I
feel that education funding must go up, not in a
teacher’s salary, but in the development of new
programs that will keep the attention of students.
- Does poor performance pose a threat to Nat
security?
Yes, I feel that poor school performance is one of
the reasons that we are failing to keep up with the
technology in the world. Technology is a useful tool
to maintain national security and if we are not
making the safety technologies ourselves, the
developers may have mal intentions with their
knowledge of the system.
- Improve the quality of students?
I plan to improve the quality of the education that
the students receive by increasing funding for new
programs across the nation such as Project Lead the
Way, as well as any misc. art and music programs.
In education you will only get out what you put in. It
should be harder for teachers to get tenure in
schools, in our school district, after three years of
full time employment a teacher is evaluated to see
if they will receive tenure. In some cases after a
teacher receives tenure he or she may be inclined
to coast for the rest of their career. This hinders the
student’s ability to learn. I feel that teachers should
be reevaluated every year to make sure that their
lessons are staying constant with the ever-changing
technology that the schools are receiving.
