Stabbing Investigation
February 29, 2008
At approximately 2:29 AM today, Moorhead Police Officers were dispatched to 3521
Village Green Drive, Unit F, for an apparent stabbing. The reported victim a 22-year-old
man, had gone to Meritcare Emergency Room for an alleged stab wound to the neck.
The subsequent investigation into this incident found that the wound was self inflicted as
a result of an attempt to harm himself. The victim’s friend initially did not want to
disclose what happened and reported it as a stabbing. The victim was treated and
released from Meritcare to family members. Alcohol was a factor in this incident.
