Land Purchased for WWTP Sites: Ardmore, Ballyduff/Kilmeaden, Cappoquin, Dunmore East, Kilmacthomas.

Foreshore Licence Approvals – Draft Licence Stage (Agreed): Ardmore, Cappoquin, Stradbally.
- Final Stage: Dunmore East.
- Not required: Ballyduff/Kilmeaden, Kilmacthomas, Tallow.
DBO Contract: Prequalification process recommenced and 9 submissions were received on 21st May, 2010. 6 No. applicants

short-listed on 20 October 2010. Tender documents to issue in early 2011. Planned Construction to commence in March 2012.
Ardmore:
Negotiations for compensation for Curragh PS and Wayleave commenced following An Bord Pleanala
approvals. Valuer appointed to act on behalf of WCC.
Contract for Ardmore Interim Treatment Works signed on 15 February, 2010. Construction commenced in

April 2010. 90% completion with just tank cover to be installed.
Closing Date for receipt of Tenders for Collection System was 5 January 2011. 7 No. Tenders received

Ballyduff/Kilmeaden:
Closing Date for receipt of Tenders was 28 January 2011. 8 No. Tenders received.

Cappoquin:.
Contract signed on 15 February, 2010. Construction commenced in March 2010. 99% completed.

Dunmore East:
Contract Documents finalised and submitted to the DEHLG on 4 December 2009 along with Detailed Cost

Estimate and all other documentation required under Circular L5/09 (Contract in excess of €5 million). Large
number of amendments required before DEHLG will approve. Tender stage now expected in early/mid 2011.
Stradbally:
Contract awarded on 20 July 2010 with work commencing on 6 September 2010.

PROGRESS ON OTHER WATER SERVICES PROJECTS
Water Conservation/Mains Rehabilitation
DoEHLG approval of Main Rehabilitation Works proposal on the 23rd September, 2010 subject to
minor amendments to proposal.
A design brief for the Appointment of Consultants for the detailed design & construction of the Mains
Rehabilitation Programme is currently being prepared. It is expected that part of the overall works
programme will be constructed on a Direct Labour basis.

Completion of outstanding works and snags associated with Contract Nos. 2 ,3 and 12 on-going at 31/1/2011.
Final Accounts not yet finalised. Conciliation Procedure currently in progress for resolution of contractual
dispute on Final Account Valuation for Contract No.13
