ABOUT JUMPSTART’S READ FOR THE RECORD CAMPAIGN:
Jumpstart’s Read for the Record is a national campaign to encourage over two million
children and adults to read the same book, The Snowy Day, on the same day, October 7,
2010. This expansive reading experience will raise public awareness about the importance
of early education. For more information, visit www.readfortherecord.org.
Jumpstart is a national early education organization that works toward the day every child
in America enters school prepared to succeed. By partnering nearly 4,000 trained adult
mentors with underserved preschoolers for a full school year, Jumpstart helps children
develop the language, literacy, and social skills they’ll need to thrive in kindergarten and
beyond. For more information about Jumpstart, visit www.jstart.org.
