Brooke Waggoner

has helped her to create her style of music. and filling the role for keyboard player temporarily for the band The Winter Sounds, Brooke took some time to create and produce her follow-up and full length release of “Heal For the Honey”. That second release showcases her talents as a composer and orchestrator even more than her initial release of “Fresh Pair of Eyes” did. And the second release also shows that, if given the chance, Waggoner could make a good living as a composer of background music in theatrical releases. But Waggoner seems to be very content in creating the songs for her very own albums. In fact, it’s the pop music that can be found on her CDs that she has become known for. During her times as a songwriter, Brooke has had her share of bright spots: As former lead singer of the Christian Rock band Blessed Yes, she and the band made it into the Top 10 of the MTVU Best Music on Campus Competition. And she was named as one of the semi-finalists in one competition of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. With that type of talent, it was only a matter of time before Brooke would start creating her solo material. With two CDs of her own music having been released, Brooke Waggoner has been spending much time out on the road, touring. In fact, Waggoner will finally be coming to the greater Cleveland area in the very near future. On Friday, September 11, 2009, Brooke Waggoner will be coming to Cleveland to perform at the Beachland Ballroom. For that performance, Brooke will be playing material from her two previous releases, “Fresh Pair of Eyes,” and “Heal For the Honey,” as well as stuff from her new, upcoming release, “Go Easy Little Doves”. If you are a fan of very melodic pop music, singer/songwriter Brooke Waggoner has a sound that you may be interested in. And she will be coming to the Greater Cleveland area to perform at the Beachland Ballroom on September 11, 2009. Brooke Waggoner spent much of her youth in musical training, as she took many lessons on the piano to learn how to play the instrument. When college came calling, Brooke went on to Louisiana State University to obtain her degree in Composition & Orchestration. It is that training that
After graduating from LSU, Brooke started creating her music as a solo musician. The style of music that Brooke creates incorporates people like Rodgers & Hammerstein, Tori Amos, Electric Light Orchestra and others together into one style that also includes a healthy dose of orchestration thrown in. Brooke’s writing style was first put out on her initial release of “Fresh Pair of Eyes”. That initial 6-song CD features songs like “Hush If You Must,” “So-So,” and the title track of “Fresh Pair of Eyes”. That release gave the world a good indication of the talent that Brooke had developed as a singer-songwriter, a pianist, and an orchestrator, as she played all three roles on that release.
