					        HOW TO DIAGNOSE SOIL NUTRIENT DEFICIENCIES
      If the soil is missing a nutrient, maize plants may be unhealthy. Each soil
      nutrient deficiency causes different symptoms in the plant. To diagnose the
      deficiency:

      1.   Use the flowchart to identify the problem in your plants.
      2.   Refer to the month to learn more about the symptoms and solutions.
      3.   Confirm a diagnosis with other farmers or an agricultural extension worker.
      4.   Treat the deficiency.
