Using the Eyewear recorder
1: Charging
The eyewear camera must be charged before first use, this is done by plugging it
into your PC the green LED on the inside of the arm of the glasses will begin to flash to let
you know it is charging and will become a solid green when it is fully charged
2: Turning on
Once charged the glasses can now be turned on firstly disconnect form your PC then
press the button at the rear of the arm for a 3-4 seconds or so until you see a red/orange
light appear this means that the recorder is on and is ready to record.
3: Begin/stopping recording
To record video footage simply press the on/off button again and the orange light
will disappear and a green LED will appear in the corner of the glasses arm letting you know
you are recording live video footage. To stop recording simply press the on/off button
again, the green light will blink for a couple of seconds after you press this button letting
you know the video footage is being saved and the LED will then go orange to let you know
it is ready to record again.
To take a photograph simply press the button at the front of the arm the orange and
green LED will blink together letting you know a photo has been taken and being stored.
4: Connect to a PC
There is a USB connection on the base of the glasses arm which you can attatch a
usb cable to download your footage, or you can simply remove the media card and insert it
into your PC. From this you can open and view your file in the DCIM folder and in the sub
folder is where you will find your photos and your video footage. You can copy from the
camera as you normally would any pc file. Please then erase the video files from the
recorder and leave it ready to record again.
5: Set the time
The recorder has the function of showing real-time on the video or photo. To set or
correct the date and time, follow the steps:
1) Connect the Camera to your PC using the usb cable provided
2) Open notepad on your PC and type in exactly as follows TIME,2009/05/05/20:07:30;
(This being the current date and time you are setting up)
3) save the file as timecfg
4) A sample file “timecfg.txt” is included in the CD, you can modify and use it directly.
5) copy the file under the root directory (DCIM) of the recorder memory when the recorder
is connected to computer.
6), Disconnect the recorder from computer, turn the recorder on, the time will be set
automatically from the file you have just copied from your pc to the camera.
