Across the United States on May 25, more than 150,000 older adults participated in
health promotion events at more than 1,000 local organizations. National Senior
Health & Fitness Day, the nation's largest older adult health & fitness event, entered
its 12th year this year. The common goal for this day, always set for the last
Wednesday in May, is to help keep older Americans healthy and fit. This year’s
national theme is Get Moving…It's a Step in the Right Direction. In observance, St.
Anthony’s Health Care hosted its first-ever Senior Health & Fitness Day at our
Carillon Outpatient Center off of Ulmerton Road. The event provided health and
wellness information through lectures, screenings, demonstrations and an
information fair to more than 200 seniors. Take a look at the ad that ran in the St.
Petersburg Times at SeniorAd.pdf.
