					IIT Team Job Responsibilities

Lisa Abel-Palmieri


       Lead the vision and strategy design for on-going and evolutionary uses of technology in both
        instructional and informational areas of the school
       Lead the team that provides professional development to teachers and supports students’
        learning through technology while securing reliable infrastructure.
       Partner with other senior leadership at the school to foster and manage external technology
        partnerships for both MS and US students

IT Budget Oversight

       Approves day-to-day technology purchases as the budget manager for IIT. Signs off on pink
       Receives a monthly report from accounting on where the IT budget stands and reviews for
        accuracy reporting any errors or mistakes
       Handles forwarding mobile book/app purchases from Ellis e-mail accounts to the business office

Computer Science
    Teaches CS courses as needed in MS and US
    Leads the process to assess, plan and revise curriculum in the CS Department
    Develops yearly goals for CS faculty in each division
    Observes CS classes in each division and provides feedback to faculty members

Informational Technology
     Partner with the Manager of Information Services to research and recommend system
        development priorities, changes for user services; and resolution to procedural problems.
     Leads the process to forecast trends and long-term planning for the department; assures
        implementation of long-term infrastructure plans; uses non-traditional/creative approaches to
        problem-solving; recommends new or revised standards, policies, etc.
     Assess user hardware and software needs and develops plans to fulfill them.
     Act as the back-up admin for the VOIP telecommunications system and web filtering software

Instructional Technology
      Leads the effort to launch the use of web-based software to improve student understanding, to
         provide immediate feedback for students, and to assist teachers in monitoring student progress in
         the US.
      Manages and participates in the development of professional learning experiences for teachers

    Supervise IIT Team and support the CS teachers with the partnership of Division Directors
    Lead hiring and training employees within the IIT Department to ensure accurate transition into
      the Ellis culture
    Create status reports for Committee of Five around key IT projects
    Maintains TechBytes Blog
    Enforce school policies & ensure that the Departments meet the goals set forth in the technology
Camille Mackey

Laptop Program
     Acts as the lead technician on diagnosing and determining problems for student laptops
     Troubleshooting for US faculty
     Manage laptop program lease agreements
     Setup and deployment of imaging for all Windows computers
     Maintain and facilitate the repair of all Windows computers

Information Systems Management
     Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the campus network infrastructure and alerting the
        community to any downtime
     Manages cabling projects related to Bandwidth, VOIP and other networking
     Responsible for network/server administration and managing our partnership with our networking
     Plan and coordinate installation and upgrading of hardware and software
     Manage network and computer security utilizing the Websense software
     Maintain software licensing and compliance
     Make hardware and software upgrade recommendations for operational and strategic planning
     Manages the phone system to assure its working properly; creates new and modifies users
     Manage web help desk and route tickets to appropriate technicians

Elizabeth Perry

Curriculum Integration PK-12
     Provide focused training for faculty use of technology, acting as catalyst, coach, or collaborator
        through in-person, online and blended learning solutions
     Develop new curricular uses of emerging technologies that are tied to curriculum across the
     Represent IT Team on Academic Program Committee
     Manages the mobile devices across the school to assure teachers know how to use them and
        upgrades are done when needed
     MyEllis support for faculty including: general interface support, content, photo, video, and
        multimedia management

Computer Education
    Teaches one elective per term in the MS
    MS Computer Labs maintenance and ‘Idealab’ support
Gregg Stone

Administrative Representative on IT Team

        Communicate questions and issues on behalf of administration to IT team
        Help guide policies and procedures for the IT team
        Manage the IT Coordinator with direction, focus, and procedures related to IT team meetings

Grade 8 Laptop Program
    Communicate expectations, rules and procedural matters of the program to all Ellis constituents
    Oversee the viability of the program and help guide faculty in exploring ways of utilizing the
    Work with grade 8 advisors in the scheduling and conducting of laptop checks

Jenny McGrail

PowerSchool Administrator
    Mange the PowerSchool database and creation of the MS and US Schedule
    Complete Drop/Adds each fall and spring as needed
    Train on its use and set-up Power Teacher for faculty and division assistance use

Staff Software and Hardware Support
     Troubleshoot issues for staff related to Blackbaud software
     Provide excel training and support for staff by offering one training session each semester
     Be available for assistance to develop custom reports when scheduling work is done
