BY-LAW NO.
OF
THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF SIMCOE
A By-law to authorize the Warden and Clerk to
execute an amending agreement with JGM Consulting
to include the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio in the
provision of closed meeting investigator services.
WHEREAS the Municipal Act, 2001, Section 5(1), provides that the powers of a
municipal corporation are to be exercised by its Council;
AND WHEREAS Section 239.2 of the Municipal Act, 2001, authorizes a
municipality to appoint a closed meeting investigator;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the County of Simcoe enacted
By-law No. 5826 to appoint JGM Consulting for the provision of closed meeting
investigator services;
AND WHEREAS by the adoption of Recommendation PM-037-10 of the
Performance Management Committee, County Council deems it expedient to
execute an amending agreement with JGM Consulting to include the Township of
Adjala-Tosorontio in the provision of closed meeting investigation services.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the County of Simcoe
enacts as follows:
1. THAT the Warden and Clerk are authorized to execute an amending
agreement, substantively in the form attached hereto as Schedule 1, to
include the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio in the provision of closed
meeting investigator services.
2. THAT Schedule 1, attached hereto, being the amending agreement, as to
form and content, forms part of this By-law.
3. THAT this By-law shall come into force and take effect immediately upon
the approval of Council.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally enacted this day of ,
A.D., 2010.

AMENDING AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT made as of day of 2008.
BETWEEN
THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF SIMCOE
and
JGM CONSULTING
WHEREAS, on October 27th, 2009, the Council of the Corporation of the County of
Simcoe enacted By-law No. 5826 to authorize the Warden and Clerk to enter into an
agreement with JGM Consulting for the purposes of Section 239.2 of the Municipal Act,
2001;
AND WHEREAS ‘Schedule B’ to the agreement lists fourteen (14) member
municipalities to which, under the agreement, JGM Consulting is an Investigator for the
purposes of Section 239.2 of the Municipal Act;
AND WHEREAS, by the adoption of Recommendation PM-037-10 of the Performance
Management Committee, the Council of the Corporation of the County of Simcoe
authorized the Warden and Clerk to execute an amending agreement with JGM
Consulting to include the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio in the provision of closed
meeting investigator services.
NOW THEREFORE IT IS AGREED BY BOTH PARTIES TO THIS AGREEMENT:
1. THAT ‘Schedule B’ to the Agreement with JGM Consulting, as adopted by County
of Simcoe By-law No. 5826, be amended to include the Township of Adjala-
Tosorontio as a member municipality to which, under the Agreement, JGM
Consulting is an Investigator for the purposes of Section 239.2 of the Municipal
Act, and that all other terms and conditions contained in the Agreement, as
adopted by County of Simcoe By-law No. 5826, remain unchanged.
