M/s TTK Healthcare Limited, Chennai received the National Award
2001 in recognition of their success in commercializing the production
of TTK Chitra Artificial Heart Valve Prosthesis. Sree Chitra Tirunal
Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram
received the National Award as a developer and provider of
technology.
The Vice President of India, Shri Krishan Kant, presented the
National Award on the Technology Day, 11th May 2001 in New
Delhi.
M/s Midas Communication Technologies Private Limited,
Chennai, received the cash award of Rs.2 Lakhs for successfully
commercialising WLL based technology product. In collaboration with
the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, the company has
successfully developed and commmercialised corDECT Wireless in
Local Loop system.
