NON-STOP “HECTIC FEAST” AT LIVING
The ferment and vitality, typical of markets and fairs, that characterize the overall
atmosphere and setting of the Visconti Pavilion are enhanced by a special project
dedicated to foods. The design/gastronomy group, Arabeschi di Latte, in cooperation
with Convivium Firenze caterers of Florence presents “Hectic Feast”.
The inspiration comes from English village fairs and farmers’ markets with fresh, new
products. At Pitti Living the typical fair booths are carts, each with a specific
function: offering visitors different menus and constant mobility. The foods and
beverages are simple and unusual and sophisticated (forgotten fruits and vegetables,
dishes flavored with unusual spices, beverages like cider and citron soft drinks), all
in take-away containers.
The day will include micro-events on specific themes: snack-time, “Quick relief” with
cold milk and cookies, milk with mint syrup and chocolate bonbons, and for aperitifs
“Coming dusk together”, flavored syrups and lemon squash almost cocktail.
AraBeScHi di LaTTe is a group of creatives established in 2001. They experiment with the concept
of the "eating event," focusing on the lure of food and its ability to create situations and
relationships. Among the projects: “Fame digitale” (Ex Macelli, Prato, March 2003), “Pic-Nic
Notturno” (Palagio della Rosa, Florence, June 2003), “Cous Cous” (Spazio Alcatraz, Stazione
