Basic Tips on Removing Rust
Inhibitor from Sheet Metal
Steel sheet metal comes with a rust inhibitor coating to
prevent the sheet metal to develop steel soon. If you want to
weld this sheet steel product, you will be getting poor results
since the rust inhibitor prevents a good welding. You need to
remove the coating before you try to weld.
How to remove rust inhibitor:
First, obtain a wire brush. Install the wire brush on the drill.
Wire brush is a good tool for removing rust from metal so it
will do a good job in removing rust inhibitor coating.
Run the brush on the surface of the sheet metal until the
sheet metal turns into a lighter shade of gray meaning that
the rust inhibitor is taken off the surface.
Use a red scruff pad to run over the surface of the metal
to clear off remaining rust inhibitor. After that, your sheet
metal will be ready for welding.

Put up a Metal Framed Stud
Wall
Metal frames serve as partition on walls. Metal frames
compared to wood are lighter in weight and easy to install.
If you have decided to build your metal framed stud wall,
start the process by cutting the head profile into the desired
size and screwing it into the ceiling. You’ll need a hacksaw
to do the cutting.
Make sure that the head profile fits perfectly to the ceiling
joists or aligned directly to it. Mark where the sole profile
should fixed on the floor using a plumb line. Cut the sole
profile on your desired length, stick an adhesive on its base,
fix on the floor and screw it down.
