market is the goal and, actually, the odds you’ll get a

full price offer diminish after the first two weeks on

the market. One way to get a leg up on competing properties in

your market is to spell out gracious living for potential buyers

by staging your home. If the home is vacant, almost any home

will show better with some furniture in it. It’s o.k. if it’s a little

under furnished. Staging just helps buyers see scale and use of

spaces. Don’t make them guess if a bed or dining table will

really fit. Take a cue from big production builders who have

long known that a model home helps sales. Likewise, adding

after the death of Henry Rosenberg, a wealthy Galveston

entrepreneur, who bequeathed $600,000 to the city of
