 What is important for student
           learning?
•Students are usually given set goals by teachers to
  promote learning skills.

• Goal setting involves establishing specific and time-
   targeted objectives.

• Setting goals that are more on a personal level for
students help them relate and understand better.
 Three Points in Goal Setting
 Instructional Goals can narrow what students
  focus on.

 Goals should not be too specific.

 Students should personalize teacher goals to
better their understanding of the material.
      Feedback:
What was she thinking?!
         Providing Feedback
 Teachers provide their students with feedback on how
  they are doing.

 Giving feedback is so important that students can gain
  their utmost growth in learning
 Points in Providing Feedback
 Feedback should be corrective in nature.
 Feedback should also be timely, especially for younger
  aged groups.

 It should be specific to a criterion
 Students then can also provide their own feedback
