A: WordPress –
1. WordPress is an open source tool for creating blogs and websites. Users can
switch between a variety of templates without any need to edit existing PHP or
HTML code. It is fully compliant with existing W3 standards, it allows users to
create blogs that can receive user comments, and at the same time the site can also
have static pages (such as an about page).
Some drawbacks of WordPress are a number of security vulnerabilities and
exploits. The software is also primarily oriented towards the creation of blogs at
the expense of creating more conventional websites. WordPress also requires
hosting separate from the main site.
2. WordPress itself only hosts the software and as a result has no control over any
of the content hosted by others. However the TOS of WordPress and the hosts of
WordPress however do prohibit content which is illegal, defamatory, spam, and
infringing of copyright.
3. WordPress is released under the GNU General Public License. Derivatives of
WordPress also inherit the same license

1. Blogger is a blog publishing service hosted by Google, it includes integration with
various Google services such as AdSense. It allows features such as the ability to
switch templates through a drag and drop interface, special news feeds, posting by
email and archive pages.
2. On Blogger it is forbidden to post content that promotes hate speech, illegal
activities, account phishing or impersonation of other users
3. The Blogger software itself is the property of Google and cannot be used
outside Google’s own web hosting. The copyright policy of Blogger is that they
comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and will take down any content
which infringes on the copyright of another through a form on their website.

You are to provide technical support to live music-and-theatre performing troupe which is
to go on tour to remote Indigenous community schools. The group will need to record
performance audio as mp3 and video as mp4 and host these on a web page for download e.g.
a wiki, WordPress Blogger
What are some of the technical risks with this project?
A: The performing troupe will need to have the recording equipment established and made
functional before the performance. The risks involved in this may be that the equipment
fails to record in the middle of a performance and therefore the recording is either lost
or the performance would have to be started again. Other issues may include file format
compatibility and having enough storage space for the recordings before uploading to the
web.
