Dog Daycare and Boarding Rules and Regulations

The Purpose of Pet Planet is to provide a safe, fun and stimulating social

environment for dogs while you are away from home. To ensure the safety and

health of your dog(s) and other guests, we require all guests to comply with the

following rules and regulations:

HOURS OF OPERATION:

Monday-Saturday 7:00 am – 7:00 pm (early drop off by appointment)

Sunday By Appointment

LATE POLICY: If a daycare dog is not picked up by the end of the day, the owner

will be allowed a 15 minute grace period for a $5 late fee. If, after the 15 minute

grace period, the daycare dog is still not picked up, the dog will be placed in

boarding for the night and the owner will be responsible for any fees incurred.

Please be respectful of our business hours. We understand that situations arise in

our everyday lives. If you are aware of a problem picking up your dog, please let us

know and Pet Planet will attempt to make arrangements.

PICK UP POLICY: Included in this packet, is an authorized pick up list. Please list

anyone authorized to pick up your dog from Pet Planet in the event that you are

unable to pick him/her up. Anyone picking up guests, must present proper

identification, be on the authorized pick up list, and sign the guest out.

AGE/SEX: All dogs must be 14 weeks of age or older to participate in daycare at

Pet Planet and have received their second booster of Distemper. Dogs over 6

months should be spayed/neutered. Females in heat may not attend.

VACCINATIONS: All dogs coming to Pet Planet for daycare, grooming, training, or

boarding must have up-to-date vaccinations. Owners must submit written proof of

Distemper, Hepatitis, Para Influenza, Parvovirus, and Rabies vaccinations and

Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccination. Vaccination history must be received 24

hours before daycare evaluation. It is the owner’s responsibility to provide ongoing

verification of current vaccinations. Pet Planet will require periodic updates from

all clients to ensure the health and safety of all dogs.

HEALTH: All dogs coming to Pet Planet must be in good health. Owners will certify

that their dog(s) are in good health and have not been ill with a communicable

condition in the last 15 days. Dogs that have been ill in the last 30 days will require

veterinarian certification of health to be admitted or readmitted.

KENNEL COUGH: Kennel cough (Bordetella) is a highly contagious upper

respiratory infection. It is an airborne virus that pets commonly contract when

they have had direct contact with other pets and/or have been exposed to an area

where other pets have been: pet stores, daycare, boarding, veterinary clinics, dog

parks, etc. Symptoms commonly include a deep raspy cough and usually occur 7-10

days after the pet has been infected. Although all pets are required to be

vaccinated for Bordetella, they are still susceptible to kennel cough since there

are many strains of the infection. Pet Planet is not responsible for Kennel Cough.

FLEA/TICK PROTECTION: It is highly recommended that dog(s) be protected

with flea/tick preventative. Flea/tick collars are NOT allowed. All dogs will be

checked for signs of fleas and ticks upon arrival and will not be admitted if signs

are noticed. If, at any time while at Pet Planet, a dog is noticed to have fleas/ticks,

treatment will be applied and charged to the owner.

TEMPERMENT: Owners certify that their dog(s) have not harmed or shown any

aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dog(s). Pet

Planet has the right at any time to remove a dog from daycare services due to

temperament issues that are not conducive to a dog daycare environment. Please

remember, your dog(s) will be spending time with other dog(s) and the safety and

health of all animals is our main concern.

NAILS: Dogs nails must be kept trimmed, for the safety of other dogs and staff.

If nails are found to be unreasonably long or sharp, nails will be trimmed and

charged to owner at the rate of $8.00.
