A&M/Octone Records & Music Choice Partner to Present
Grammy-Award Winning, Multi-Platinum Recording Act
MAROON 5
Music Choice’s ‘Artist of the Month’ in June
New York, NY—June 1, 2007—Music Choice, the leading, multi-platform music network, and
A&M/Octone Records, today announced that the Grammy Award winning pop rock band
Maroon 5, will be the featured ‘Artist of the Month’ in June on Music Choice, the No. 1 video-on-
demand music service in the country. Throughout the month, Music Choice will offer unique
original programs featuring Maroon 5, including a behind-the-scenes look at the making of their
“Makes Me Wonder” music video and an exclusive, in-depth interview with band members
Adam Levine and James Valentine. The Maroon 5 Artist of the Month program will also include
the band’s entire catalog of music videos to watch whenever – and however often – at no
charge. The video selection will include fan favorites, “Harder To Breathe,” “This Love,” “Makes
Me Wonder” and several more.
Capturing their first of two Grammys as Best New Artist of 2005, and going on to sell more than
ten million albums worldwide, Maroon 5 won plaudits with the hybrid rock/R&B sound they
introduced on their debut album Songs About Jane. On May 22nd, after four years and live
shows alongside the likes of The Rolling Stones and Stevie Wonder, the quintet released their
much-anticipated second album, It Won’t Be Soon Before Long (A&M/Octone Records).
Listeners can expect this sophomore outing to be “sexier,” “stronger” and even “lyrically darker”
than Jane, according to vocalist/guitarist Adam Levine, who affirms that “it’s rooted in what
we’ve always been, which is different.”
"The Music Choice Artist of the Month program presented a tremendous promotional
marketing opportunity for us to drive awareness of Maroon 5's discography, including their new
release, It Won't Be Soon Before Long," says Benjamin Berkman, EVP of A&M/Octone
Records. "Through the Music Choice free video-on-demand music service, millions of current,
and soon-to-be, Maroon 5 fans across the country can experience the music of the Grammy-
Award Winning, Multi-Platinum Recording Act. In addition to featuring the music catalog of
Maroon 5, viewers can also get to know the members of the band through unique programs that
will also be offered as part of the Maroon 5 Artist of the Month program only on Music Choice in
June.
“Maroon 5 is one of the top acts on Music Choice’s free video-on-demand music service with
over half a million orders for their music videos to date,” says Justin Prager, Director of Rock
and Pop Programming for Music Choice. “We are excited to work with A&M/Octone Records to
develop a unique marketing program for Maroon 5 that features unique programming and a
wide selection of the band’s music videos. As the programmer of the most-viewed free video-
on-demand music service, Music Choice gives Maroon 5 access to millions of music fans
across the country who have embraced video-on-demand for music programming.”
Music Choice will offer several original programs featuring Maroon 5 to watch at any time during
the month of June at no charge. The Music Choice Originals include -
1) Maroon 5: “Sooner Than Later” – Maroon 5’s band members sit down and open up
with Music Choice about the early days of the band – the loss of their longtime drummer,
– and the musical influences on their new album “It Won’t Be Soon Before Long”
2) Maroon 5: “7 Wonderful Videos” – A Video Playlist hosted by Maroon 5’s Adam
Levine and James Valentine that takes viewers on a video tour of their recording career
from their first album (as Kara’s Flowers) through their current release “It Won’t Be Soon
Before Long”
3) Maroon 5: “Naked” – Band members expose themselves to unscripted questions from
their fans
4) Maroon 5: “Making of the MAKES ME WONDER Video” – Music Choice takes its

Wonder”
