THE TASTING CLUB SPRING/SUMMER

Taste, sip, savour, learn and rouse your palate with Toronto’s top chefs, sommeliers and experts at

the Tasting Club at Coupe Space. Enjoy an evening of in-depth guided tastings that explore the most

delicious and unexpected food and drink from around the world in a casual and interactive round-table

setting at this eclectic event venue in Leslieville.

THE CHEESE LAB. Monday March 31. SOLD OUT: Repeats on June 16

with cheese expert/affineur Afrim Pristine (The Cheese Boutique)

ELEGANT REDS (AND THE FOOD THAT LOVES THEM). Thursday April 10. 8-10pm. $75.

with sommelier Anne Martin (www.annemartinwine.com)

As spring approaches, join us for a natural follow-up to winter's hugely popular Big Reds class. This time Anne takes you on

a global wine tour of sophisticated, nuanced, food-friendly red wines that will surprise your palate and awaken your senses.

These wines deliver power with style and elegance, rather than sheer muscle. And with spring around the corner (we hope!),

these wines will easily carry you into warmer weather. Anne also teams up with Coupe Space to match each wine perfectly

with delectable tasting bites and hors d'oeuvres featuring artisan cheeses, seasonal produce, various meats, premium choco-

late and much more. Expand your vinous horizons and take your wine and food-pairing knowledge to the next level at this

essential event for novice and advanced food and wine-lovers alike!

WHISK(E)Y & CHEESE. Wednesday April 30. 7:30-10pm. $95. PREMIUM EVENT.

with author and international drink expert Stephen Beaumont (www.worldofbeer.com)

Calling all manly-men and steroetype-defying ladies! The Tasting Club is thrilled to welcome back Stephen Beaumont (after a

mind-blowing Beer-Tasting last summer) for another ridiculously over-the-top Tasting Club event. This time, Stephen is tack-

ling the fascinating and misunderstood world of Scottish Whisky, Bourbon, Irish Whiskey, and wait for it, even Whisky from

India. There will be vatted malts, blended whiskies, single malts, smoky monsters and the best value Whisky around (it's not

what you think it is). But, we're not stopping there... Stephen's expertise also extends to cheese-pairing, so he'll line up a ros-

ter of Whiskies/Whiskeys with a perfectly-matched selection of artisanal, premium cheeses from our friends at the Cheese

Boutique. A luxurious night of cheese and drink that you won't soon forget, and yes, Stephen will explain that whole

Whisky/Whiskey thing.

Whisk(e)y and Cheese Tasting with hors d'oeuvres and a welcome cocktail.

LOCAL HEROES: ONTARIO WINE. Thursday May 15. 8-10pm. $75

with head of Slow Food Toronto and wine educator Paul DeCampo (www.slowfoodtoronto.com)

The Tasting Club is thrilled to welcome wine educator and Slow Food advocate, Paul DeCampo, to the space for a unique

tasting and awareness evening celebrating the best and most delicious wine that Ontario has to offer. And yes, we've come a

loooong way, baby. Join Paul for an approachable and entertaining tasting of a variety of whites, reds, sparkling and ice wines

painstakingly produced by artisan winemakers and sustainable vineyards in our lovely province, from Niagara to Prince

Edward County, Pelée Island and beyond. Discussion includes regional terroir, issues facing local winemakers, the global Slow

Food movement, and of course, plenty of wine talk! You will be amazed at what is now being produced in our own backyard.

Also enjoy delectable, seasonal hors d’ouevres and nibbles.
