2 From the President’s Desk
Hello Chapter Members and Guests,
I want to remind everyone that our holiday event will now
take place on November 18th and this year Lorna Brown has
CHAPTER OFFICERS offered her services as our auctioneer. As we are having this
event earlier than our normal December meeting, I am asking
President everyone to work at getting as many donations for the event
Meri Gaus as possible.
425-342-9101
Currently some of the items the chapter has for auction in-
meri.c.gaus@boeing.com
cludes two baskets from Gourmet Baskets, a dinner certificate
for Sushi Ring, $50 Applebee’s gift card and various small si-
lent auction items. Are you a crafter? Are you a baker? If so
Vice President
we can use you. Many people love to get those handcrafted items, as gifts so if
Johanna Wiese you are a crafter please feel free to donate. One of the things I have found in
425-266-1012 other chapters is that baked goods which are liked by all (pies, cookies, breads
johanna.l.wiese@Boeing.com and such) so if you are that baker, bring it on.
I feel if we all work together and just put a little bit of ourselves into it,
Secretary
we will have a AWESOME event. If you have someone that you think will do-
nate, please one of the board members know and we will get you the “Not for
Marcia Jenkins
Profit” letter to give to your donator. We are not a “NON profit” organization so
425-918-3359
there is no tax break for donations. All proceeds for our auction will stay in the
marcia.jenkins@premera.com
chapter and be used for the chapter.
We all know how hard the economy has been and how much we have
Treasurer each been affected or someone we know has been affected. Our speaker for the
Karen Teramoto October meeting is Peter Harvey of Edward Jones Financial Planning. Come and
425-918-4398 listen to Peter give us information on how we can better help ourselves with
karen.teramoto@premera.com financial planning for now and in the future.
On the next page is a tip for all of us. I look forward to seeing you all at
the October 13th meeting, bring those auction and holiday ideas with you.
Sincerely,
Board Meetings are held the
Monday the week before
each chapter meeting and Meri Gaus

Keep Sunday free. Spread your errands and chores out sandyearly@yahoo.com

That way you'll feel like you enjoyed yourself over the
