Signing up for a gmail account

Go to www.google.com
Click on Gmail at the top of your screen.
Click on the Create an account button to the right
Type your first and last name in the appropriate box.
In the Desired Login Name: you will type lchs and you username.
For example, if your name is John Smith and you will graduate in 2014, then you will
type lchs14smithj
Continue down the page filling out the boxes and uncheck the boxes for Stay signed
in, Enable web history, and Set Google as my default homopage.
After you fill in the rest of the fields, then you should read the terms and click on the
I accept Create my account button.

Next, you will click on Create an account now to the right.
Then, follow the directions filling in all the appropriate fields
Use your gmail account for the email field.
Use the same password that you used for your gmail account.
Fill in the rest of the fields on the page and read through the terms.
Then click the I accept Create my account button.
Then, click Google Home in the upper right corner.
Next, click Sign out in the upper right corner.
