PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL
Reminders:
Please approach the ambo during the Profession of Faith, so you are already in place at the
ambo by the end of the prayer. There should be no break between the priest’s introductions to
these petitions.
Please don’t forget to mention the name(s) for which we offer this Mass. (Additionally, if the
person is indicated as deceased (with the “+” cross symbol) the name is still mentioned in the
last petition and not in the petition for those who have died, with the newly departed.)
Thank you for your attention and for your ministry.
Prayers of the Faithful
Let us pray for the church: for the grace of humble gratitude for those
who are privileged to serve others … we pray,
We pray for our country: for responsibility, honesty, fairness and all
those virtues necessary for our citizens to live in peace with each
other and with all nations of the world … we pray,
For those who are hungry, thirsty, without clothing or shelter; the
imprisoned, the refugee and the stranger … we pray,
We remember those who cannot be with us today; those who are ill,
especially Martin Blum, Patricia Randazzo, and Vince Cortese, for
those who love and care for them … we pray,
We remember those who have died . . . (Antonia Chacon, Sally Mills,
Kimmy Vu). For all those who are grieving and will especially miss their
loved one on Thanksgiving Day … we pray,
And for ___________________ for whom this Mass is intended.
