Why did you decide to become a child care worker?
I enjoy being with children.
What strengths do you bring to your classroom?
I am willing to serve the children and the teachers in whatever capacity they need. I
am patient. I love children.
Tell us what you want to be doing professionally in three years.
I honestly don't have a three year plan.
Bio Info
I am seventh out of eight children. When I was ten years old my first niece was born.
After 21 nieces and nephews it seems I have been around babies for many years. I have
three children of my own. I have enjoyed every stage of development my children have
gone through. I have been a teacher's aid in the public schools for many years. I
volunteered working with 4 year olds up to third graders. Several years ago I taught 2's
and 3 year olds Sunday school at my church. It was fun decorating my classroom with
the art projects these little people made in my class. I loved how amazed their parents
were that they were learning so much and not just being babysat. I have also done
after school care in my home. Now that my children older I have decided to go back to
work. As a career choice it just seemed natural to be working with children again. I
started at United Methodist Christian School in August of 2008.
