Cliff Taylor

Cliff is currently Area Human Resources Director for Eli Lilly and Company, Asian
Operations, based in Hong Kong SAR. Eli Lilly and Company is a research-based
pharmaceutical company based in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, with operations
worldwide.
Cliff holds a MA in Modern Languages from Oxford University (1981), and an MBA
from Manchester Business School in the UK (1989). He spent his first working years in
teaching, firstly in the UK and then for two years at a boarding school in Kenya, where
he was appointed Acting Headmaster during his second year.
Cliff joined Eli Lilly and Company in 1989 after his MBA as a Sales Representative, and
spent the first seven years of his career in various sales, marketing, and sales management
assignments in the UK and at the company’s global headquarters in Indianapolis. In
1996 Cliff was appointed HR Manager for Basingstoke Manufacturing, in the UK. He
moved in 1998 to Vienna, Austria, as HR Director for Central and Eastern Europe, before
moving to the USA in 2001 to support a part of Lilly Research Laboratories. Cliff
assumed his current responsibilities in April 2003.
