What can you expect to learn from Starting and Managing a Small Business in Missouri?
Cost: $69 for first attendee, $34.50 for each additional person
To introduce participants to the business planning process and provide tools to assess their personal, managerial, technical, and financial skills as well as explore their financial capacity. To help participants focus on the importance of planning and assessing the business environment.

To acquaint participants with the forms of business organization. To acquaint participants with the government regulations pertaining to starting their business in the state of Missouri. To acquaint participants with factors to consider when developing record-keeping and information management systems.

To acquaint participants with marketing procedures, tools, and strategies. To acquaint participants with financial terminology and with a basic knowledge of credit. To introduce additional aids to starting a business in Missouri.
Presenter: Don Davis, Manager, Business Applications
Don consults with a number of business clients and start-up entrepreneurs. He has assisted a number of existing and new businesses secure financing as well as assisting in the development of business plans. Don has over 20 years experience in commercial finance serving as a commercial loan officer for the American National Bank and as Manager, Customer Finance for Southwestern Bell Telecom. He was directly responsible for the department becoming the third leading profit center in the company while reducing account delinquency from approximately 14% to less than 2%. He is also experienced in the areas of equipment leasing and commercial insurance. Don is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University located in Maryville, Missouri.
