Business Health Services Named 2007 Better Business Bureau

Torch Award Finalist

Baltimore, Maryland Business Health Services (BHS) was named a finalist for the 2007

Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics sponsored by the Better Business Bureau of Greater

Maryland. BHS was selected as a finalist by a panel of independent, prestigious judges.

The Torch Award is granted to companies who exemplify honesty, integrity, and

marketplace trust.

Business Health Services is a Behavioral Risk Management provider. With over 20 years

experience, BHS specializes in workplace wellness, life coaching, work-life balance and

organizational development. BHS is a stand-alone vendor providing nationwide

workplace wellness solutions to organizations such as MedStar Health, Inc., JetBlue Air,

Anne Arundel County Government, Prince George’s County Public Schools, The

Baltimore Ravens, and News America Incorporated.

An important BHS core value is to ‘Uphold Professionalism.’ In regards to this core

value, BHS employees strive to conduct themselves, and their business, according to the

highest professional and ethical standards. “As our company has grown significantly over

the past eight years, BHS has continued to uphold a commitment to integrity, following

through on promises and service excellence. Our employees have a sense of ownership in

the company and take pride in the services we offer our clients. We strive to partner with

client organizations who share this same commitment,” said Dawn Motovidlak, President

and CEO, Business Health Services.

Ms. Motovidlak obtained her role as President/CEO by purchasing BHS at the notably

young age of 27. Since then, Ms. Motovidlak has acquired two major competitors and has

grown the company over 800%.

The Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics program was developed by the BBB’s

Education Foundation in 1997, a non-profit, 501(c)3 arm of the BBB, to give recognition

to for-profit businesses in Maryland that have demonstrated long term dedication to

ethical practices in all aspects of business.

“The goal of the program is not only to honor those companies who strive for excellence

in business,” said Angie Barnett, president and CEO of the BBB Greater Maryland, “but

also to encourage consumers to seek out businesses that illuminate and support a fair and

ethical marketplace.”

Torch Award winners will be announced at the BBB ‘Big Event’ red carpet awards

ceremony on September 26, 2007.
