This is my thought since BMG has a so many compatibility issues with operating systems and word
processors we should upgrade all the computers to one affordable package. For example, BMG has 70-
computer systems total, but only 26 computer systems are compatible, which leaves the other 44
computers being non-compatible. In my opinion, I feel we make them all compatible, by upgrading the
outdated 44 computers to Microsoft Windows XP, and Microsoft office XP Professional because the cost
will run $350 dollars for every three computers. The total cost to the organization is $5,133 dollars total,
this address the short term for word processing issues but will work for now. In addition, I have
calculated that the project should only take 3 to 4 months to implement, which includes the
implementation phase, transition phase, and the training phase. I also suggest that for the maintenance
phase should start after implementation phase and run for two years until the software life ends.
In addition, since there are three team members we each need to take a couple of sections but
also each one take a change request. In addition, I have all ready laid the groundwork for the project
when I worked on my IA2 assignment so For example, each member picks three topics and we go from
there.
