You Are Invited!

You are invited to be a part of the Alliance for New Jersey Environmental Education’s
27th Annual Environmental Education Conference on Thursday, January 26, through
Saturday, January 28, 2012. We are thrilled to offer you a first-rate professional development
experience in the friendly and professional setting of the Wyndham Princeton Forrestal Hotel
and Conference Center

While many around us are going green, ANJEE is going Blue for 2012! Our world has been
called “The Blue Planet” and “The Water Planet” for good reason; it is the only known planet
with any significant amount of water and thus the only planet we know of that can sustain life.
This conference will investigate water in many different ways – as a resource for life, as a
habitat, and as a crucial resource that requires protection from overuse and pollution. The
science, curricula, issues, and politics of water will be explored, along with many other
environmental education topics.

Presentations and workshops will feature environmental education in elementary, secondary
and higher education; green school practices and model programs; natural history
interpretation; community-based environmental projects; adult learning initiatives; and more.

The conference is an invaluable professional development opportunity for classroom teachers*,
interpreters, education administrators, non-profit staff, pre-service teachers, and other people
interested in environmental education.

Please enjoy perusing this preliminary brochure and watch the conference website for more
details(to come) at www.ANJEE.net/conference. If you have any questions, you can email the
conference coordinators at ANJEEConference@gmail.com

We hope to see you at the conference.

Yours faithfully,

Diane Hewlett-Lowrie
ANJEE Program Director, and
Conference Committee Chair
