The old shop The new shop
Back in Business
When Keith Poston closed K & A Automotive
for business at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 28th,
he never would have guessed he would live the
next 4 months in a nightmare. At 12:12 a.m.
Sunday, August 29th, Keith received a phone
call that no business owner wants to receive:
“Mr. Poston, your shop is on fire.” That’s right,
the business he started almost 20 years ago with
a small amount of money and a big dream, was
up in flames. Talk about the longest night in
history; the drive from Ridgeway to Covenant
Road in Forest Acres, (where the shop is locat-
ed), the sight of firefighters still extinguishing
flames upon arrival, he sat outside the door of
his livelihood for hours after the firefighters and
police left him there to do whatever comes next.
“Whatever comes next:” a question that has
consumed Keith’s thoughts the last 4 months
as he has watched, waited, grieved, mulled, and
slowly anticipated the month, week and now the Keith Poston and his son, Taylor
day he can open for business again.
The time has come for K & A Automotive, Inc. to announce it’s Grand Re-Opening Monday, which
was January 17, 2011. The new shop is better than before, with new equipment and the latest in what
is needed to keep your vehicle purring like a kitten. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday,

stereotype roller derby women as being from a lower socioeco-

But the truth of the matter is that there are women from all walks
of life on the team. There are lawyers, professionals, military, col-

thing about it is that even though we may hit each other on the
rink, we are all still friends.”
According to these ladies, roller derby works great as a stress re-

to believe in themselves. We all find out that we have strengths we
